The Cornucopia Series: Pace
Pace is No. 4 in The Cornucopia Series. It, just like the rest of the numbers, is meant to be easier than nursery rhymes. This composition will be playable for most piano students in their first six weeks of lessons, especially if the student omits the left hand if necessary.
The composition is filled with whole notes and tied whole notes. The rhythms are meant to be simple in order to be easy for beginner students to play.
Pace
Pace is taken from the Italian word for Peace. Mr. Lewis will probably use more Italian words for The Cornucopia Series. Hopefully, this composition will be peaceful enough for beginners to play.
Fun fact: this was the first composition Mr. Lewis created for the series. The key thing being this was before he had the idea to create the series in the first place. After Pace was composed, he created Beginner Cornucopia No. 1 and released the video for that on April 4th, 2023. So basically, this was composed before the idea of The Cornucopia Series was conceived.
Let’s See What the Future Holds…
Mr. Lewis plans, as of now, to keep on going with The Cornucopia Series. Now, one of two things will happen. Either these compositions end up being as successful as Mr. Lewis hopes; or they become a dud and will be abandoned at some point. It will be interesting for Mr. Lewis to see this post in the future. He currently plans to create around 100 of these. Pace will be the only one that is released individually. The rest of them will be released in groups of 3, 4, or 5.
